Research Area:

My research involves reconstructing past glacier chronologies and climate variability using surficial mapping and geochronological techniques to determine the underlying causes of global climate change. My areas of study have included: Mt. Everest, Himalaya, Nepal; Eastern Tibetan Plateau; Mongolian Altai Mountains; Southern Alps, New Zealand; Northern Andes, Peru; Dry Valleys, Antarctica; Wind River Range, Wyoming; Katahdin, Maine. Recently I have been investigating how the glacial history of New England has impacted regional land use and local resources.
