Office Location:  128 Sawyer Environmental Research Building, University of Maine, Orono, ME.

Faculty Advisor:  Dr. Jasmine Saros

Biographical Statement:  I graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2016 with a degree in environmental geochemical science. After graduating, I pursued a career in aquatic ecology, and I moved around the country to work in various research positions. In 2019, I started my master’s degree at UMaine. I’m from Valatie, New York, and I love exploring the outdoors with my pals.

Research Area:   I’m currently studying vertical habitat gradients in lakes of Acadia National Park. I’m interested in how the vertical distribution of phytoplankton within lakes is influenced by changing dissolved organic matter concentrations, as well as how phytoplankton habitats differ between lakes, from under-ice through the open-water season.
