Biographical Statement:  I am a master’s student in the School of Earth and Climate Sciences at the University of Maine. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Olin College of Engineering. I am particularly interested in the intersection of engineering and Earth science, and spent much of my time as an undergraduate combining the two, including joining a wilderness monitoring crew, conducting polar research in Chilean Patagonia, and leading a backcountry wildfire recovery trail crew. In addition, I love to hike, backpack, ski, figure skate, travel, and plane-spot.

Research Area:  I study the near-surface layers of snowpacks in polar and subpolar regions using ground penetrating radar.
