Biographical Statement: I am a Master’s student in the Ecology and Environmental Sciences program. I graduated from Hamilton College in 2018 with a degree in Geoscience and a minor in Biology. During my undergraduate, I was fascinated by the concept of using paleontology to reconstruct past environmental conditions. Therefore, I focused my senior research thesis on analyzing ostracod assemblages from West Turkana, Kenya, to reconstruct lacustrine paleoenvironments of that region during the Holocene. After graduating, I worked in environmental consulting focusing on pond and lake management.
Research Areas: During my Master’s, I plan to conduct diatom-inferred lake level reconstructions for lakes in South Greenland over the past ~2,000 years.
