Faculty Advisor:  Dr. Jasmine Saros

Office Location: 206B Sawyer Environmental Research Center

Biographical Statement:  I am an Ecuadorian national but I studied in Chile, where I received my Bachelor and Masters of Biological Science at the Universidad de Chile. There I worked at the Laboratory of Quaternary Ecology with Dr. Patricio Moreno developing high-resolution diatom stratigraphy records from small lakes in Andean Patagonia that span the Late Glacial and Holocene periods.

Research Area:  I will be developing research that will help to untangle diatom assemblage responses to climatic variables. This will ultimately enhance our understanding of past climate changes on centennial to multi-millennial time scales.
