Biographical Statement: I am a PhD student in the Ecology and Environmental Sciences program as well as a trainee in the System Approaches to Understanding and Navigating a New Arctic (SAUNNA) NRT program. I graduated from West Virginia University in 2021 with a B.S. degree in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology and Environmental Sciences. During my undergraduate degree, I studied long-term acidified forests through chemical, hydrological, and vegetation measurements. After graduating, I worked in a microbial ecology lab at WVU looking at nitrogen dynamics in pasture soils.

Research Areas: During my PhD, I plan to deepen my understanding of nitrogen cycling through monitoring glacier fed lakes.
