Biographical Statement:
Prior to joining the Climate Change Institute at UMO, I worked for 3 years in Cultural Resource Management in the Central Coast of California. The apogee of my academic progression will lie in answering questions regarding prehistoric ENSO events and its myriad varieties through interdisciplinary research. By employing interdisciplinary methodologies it is my intent that the results of my research will serve to broaden current knowledge of prehistoric ENSO phenomena, while simultaneously aiding in the improvement of predictive modeling and the development of practical mitigation strategies against modern-day climatological disasters. More broadly my areas of interest include environmental archaeology, zooarchaeology, historic archaeology, and collections management. I am advised by Dr. Daniel Sandweiss of the Anthropology Department/Climate Change Institute.
Research Area: My research focus is on prehistoric & historic El Nino and my field work will be conducted on the coast of Peru.
