Faculty Advisor: Dr. Jasmine Saros
Biographical Statement: I am a M.S. student in the Ecology and Environmental Science program as well as a trainee in the Systems Approaches to Understanding and Navigating the New Arctic (SAUNNA) NRT program. I graduated from Kenyon College in 2022 with a B.A. degree in Biology and a concentration in Environmental Studies. At Kenyon, I conducted research on atmospheric nitrogen and dust deposition, as well as the ecosystem impacts, along an agricultural to urban transect. This research sparked my interest in nutrient enrichment and its environmental effects.
Research Area: My research at the University of Maine will focus on the new Arctic lakes forming along the Greenland ice sheet. I plan to examine the water quality of these lakes through chemical and biological measurements.
