Biographical Statement: Deirdre is a PhD student who works with Dr. Bonnie Newsom. She completed both her bachelor’s (Anthropology, 2023) and master’s (Anthropology and Environmental Policy, 2025) degrees at UMaine.
Research Area: Deirdre is pursuing a PhD in Anthropology and Environmental Policy and is interested in how guidance and policy pertaining to archaeological sites could be created in partnership between various entities An interest in working collaboratively to develop policies with public impact is what guides Deirdre’s research.
