Office Location: 313 Bryand Global Science Center, University of Maine.
Biographical Statement:
In the spring of 2024, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire with a B.S. in Geology. During the fall, I completed a month-long internship with NOAA as an Explorer-In-Training and started working as a geotechnician at an engineering firm in SE Minnesota. My interest and love for glaciology developed during my time at UWEC while taking a geomorphology course, leading me to pursue a Masters degree in Earth and Climate Science at UMaine under the mentorship of Dr. Brenda Hall.
Research Area:
Under the guidance of Dr. Brenda Hall, my research focuses on creating a reconstruction of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet to understand its response to different climate conditions. Using subglacial hydrology and thermal regime to identify and date missing pieces of Antarctic glacial history. To establish the surface’s extent and age, we will use geomorphological mapping from imagery, chronological data, and surface exposure dating of existing samples.
