Dr. Sean Birkel is a Research Assistant Professor at the Climate Change Institute. He is also the Maine State Climatologist. Sean’s research interests include climate modeling and data visualization across a spectrum of timescales from the Pleistocene to modern and future projected. He also has great interest in historical weather in Maine. Since 2012, Sean has been developing the data visualization website Climate Reanalyzer.
