Dr. Eason and his students launch high altitude balloons with payloads totaling up to 12 pounds into the stratosphere typically reaching altitudes of around 35 kilometers. The payloads are tracked and recovered after of a flight of around two and a half hours. To date, he and his students have launched around 90 high altitude balloons with 100% payload recovery.
