Dear colleagues,

Sephora McIntyre and I are excited to share the lineup for the University of Maine’s 12th Annual Human Dimensions of Climate Change Film Series.

Would you please help us to get the word out by announcing the films in your class, including them in your syllabi, distributing this message to your student and faculty lists, and posting it on your calendars? We will track attendance at all films – should instructors like to assign films for EXTRA CREDIT.

This year the film series will be part of a larger interactive program organized by Sephora McIntyre called “From Pollution to Protection: Water, History, & Indigenous Treaty Rights” which features an interactive exhibit, an opening keynote, and the film series (preliminary flier attached) – all of which focus on the connections between water keepers and climate resistance.  This program is generously funded by the Alton ’38 and Adelaide Hamm Campus Activity Fund.

All films will be screened in the Black Box Theatre and are FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

March 24th, 7pm: The Penobscot – Ancestral River, Contested Waterway
March 31st, 7pm: This River is Our Relative
April 7th, 7pm: Necessity: Oil, Water, and Climate Resistance

Thank you, in advance, for helping to spread the word!

Cindy and Sephora
