AMQUA Award for Leadership in Quaternary Sciences – J. Gill

Dr. Jacquelyn Gill has been awarded the AMQUA Award for Leadership in Quaternary Sciences, which recognizes “a North American mid-career Quaternary scientist for combining an outstanding track record of scientific discovery with exceptional broader impacts within our profession and society at large.”

“Research contributions should comprise a body of work that significantly advances understanding of a place, time period, process, problem or method in Quaternary sciences. Broader impacts within our profession may include, for example, supporting the success of emerging scientists, working to improve diversity, inclusion and equity within Quaternary sciences, excellence in teaching, or exemplary service through committees, journals, etc. Examples of contributions to broader society include promoting public understanding of science, providing scientific opportunities to diverse communities, and applying science to solving societal problems.”
