Biographical Statement:   I’m a PhD student in Earth and Climate Science studying the spatial and temporal variability of liquid water and firn densification of temperate glaciers. My interest in glaciology has stemmed largely from my participation as a student with the Juneau Icefield Research Program in 2021 and continues to evolve with further recent research in Alaska and the Yukon. Most recently, I completed my Master’s degree at UMaine’s Climate Change Institute in Fall 2023.

Research Area: I’m interested in studying the layers of the near surface of temperate glaciers using geophysical tools. In particular, I am focused on determining where, when, and how much liquid meltwater moves through these layers of firn and snow and quantifying the densification rate of temperate firn.
