Biographical Statement: In 2013 I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.F.A in studio art, focusing in sculpture. After a few-year hiatus working behind the scenes at The National Aviary in Pittsburgh PA, I switched gears and started a second undergraduate degree in environmental science at Slippery Rock University. While there, I developed a love for glacial geology. This led me to pursue a graduate degree here at UMaine under the guidance of Dr. Brenda Hall.
Research Statement: My research focuses on using the glacial-geologic method to investigate the timing of the end of the last ice age. Part of my research focuses on the behavior of the Antarctic Ice Sheet during the termination. I am also working within Baxter State Park to understand the timing and rate of ice thinning at the end of the last ice age.
