Dr. Nirav Shad, Director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, special guest speaker for A. Putnam’s ERS 152 class

The 100 undergraduate students in ERS 152 — Earth’s Changing Climate, led by professor Aaron Putnam, Assistant Professor of Earth Sciences and a researcher in UMaine’s Climate Change Institute, had a special guest speaker in their Sept. 15 class. Dr. Nirav Shah, director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, joined the class via Zoom to give a talk and answer student questions.
