I'm a student pursing a M.s. in Climate and Quaternary Studies through the Climate Change Institute. I'm working with my advisors, Dr. Karl Kreutz and Dr. Gordon Hamilton, to investigate the relationship between mass balance and albedo in Denali National Park, AK. I was part of the scientific field expedition that went to the glaciers of Denali this past spring to drill and recovery over 450 meters of ice core- the first of its kind in Denali National Park. I was the "weather station expert" in charge of designing and installing two weather stations within the Park that will record meteorological conditions over the course of the year. My thesis work incorporates this weather station data, field measurements, and satellite imagery to improve our understanding of how the glaciers are responding to climate change.
