Biosketch

I am a glaciologist working on ice sheet dynamics, and the role ice sheets play in modulating global sea levels. My research focuses on understanding ice sheet mass balance -- how much mass is coming in, and how much mass is going out. A major component of my work involves satellite remote sensing, but I also conduct field work in Greenland and Antarctica, using GPS to study ice flow dynamics and high-frequency radar (GPR) to understand snow accumulation.

Research interests

Current research projects include:

  • outlet glacier dynamics and kinematics
  • ice-ocean interaction in East Greenland
  • snow accumulation in East Antarctica
