2008 Hal Borns Symposium Abstract

16th – Program (May 8-9, 2008)

The 16'th Annual CCI symposium (formerly known as Agassis) will be held on Thursday-Friday May 8-9, 2008. We will be at the Doris Twitchell Allen Village in the usual rooms, and will have plenty of food and opportunities for conversations. However, the primary reason for meeting is catching up on ongoing work with presentations by students, faculty, and guests/associates of the Institute. In fact, presentations and participation in this conference is an expectation for everyone in the Climate Change Institute. Please feel free to pass this message on to former CCI students and other associates that I have not listed.

All talks should be planned for Powerpoint presentations using the computer slide projector. We will make accommodations for other formats only in severely specialized cases, and with abundant prior notice.

Although things may change as the schedule starts to gel, please plan on 12 minutes of talk and 3 minutes of questions. We will continue the tradition of graduate students chairing the sessions and keeping us on time. We will try to group research topics in logical blocks of several speakers, but not in monolithic half-day sessions. There will be abundant diversity in the schedule.
